1. Provide a Vision of Amateur Radio Emergency Services in Minnesota
  • Report on the current state of all Amateur emergency services activities in Minnesota
  • Study EC status in other states.

2. Provide Training and Technical Support for All Emergency Groups in Minnesota.

  • Create Training ASEC
  • Create Planning ASEC
  • Publish simplified starter guide for new ECs.
  • Publish “best practices” guide for experienced ECs.

3. Provide Leadership Support for All ARES Emergency Districts in Minnesota.

  • Fill open DEC positions
  • Add ADEC positions as necessary to keep reporting ratio to 1:8.

4. Provide ARES Leadership in Top 25% Most Populated Counties

  • Engage partnerships with Affiliated Clubs.
  • Provide recruitment materials for DECs.
  • Make personal visits to clubs.

5. Increase ARES Groups Present at Local and County Levels of Government

  • Double the number of active ARES groups
  • Quadruple ARES Membership.

6. Increase Visibility of Amateur Radio Services at State, County and Local Levels of Government.

  • Make personal visits to legislative officials.
  • Create ASEC for Liasion to State Level Agencies.
  • Create ASEC for Internal/External News and Publicity.

7. Increase Opportunities for Operational Activities within ARES groups.

  • Improve liaison with NTS.
  • Organize for exercises for quarterly execution.
  • Prepare for SET.
  • Create recognition program for active members and leaders
